Kaluza Migration and Assurance

Kaluza is the other real time energy platform, and like any platform the migration onto it is where the risk sits. We give energy retailers independent, client side help to plan, run, assure or recover a Kaluza programme, with no tie to the platform or to its rivals.

About Kaluza, and who runs it

Kaluza is the energy platform built by OVO and the closest rival to Kraken. AGL took a major stake and is moving its consumer business onto it in Australia, ENGIE has signed a global agreement to deploy it, and OVO and Boost run on it in the UK. If you are weighing Kaluza against Kraken or an SAP or Oracle stack, our platform comparison and selection hub lay out the real trade offs.

Two ways to work with us

Two parts: independent assurance and full integration

We are known for Kaluza migrations, but they are only one part of the picture. Clients use us in two ways.

Part A: assurance

Independent eyes on the programme: readiness reviews, plan and supplier challenge, stage gate and go live assurance, and reconciliation of data and billing so your board knows where it really stands.

Part B: full integration

End to end delivery: we lead the programme and the full integration of Kaluza with your wider estate and industry processes, including data migration, testing, cutover and hypercare.

Or both

Begin with assurance and move to full integration when you are ready, with the same practitioners throughout.

What we have delivered

Recovered a billing imbalance of more than £160 million that emerged after a platform migration.
Delivered a UK utility migration 65 days ahead of plan and to budget.
Delivered pretty much every major finance and billing system over 19 years: SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite and more.
Why PEF

Independent of Kaluza, and of its rivals

We hold no licence to sell, for Kaluza or any other platform, so our only interest is the platform that fits you and a migration that lands cleanly. We have recovered and delivered some of the largest migrations in the market, including the first water utility onto Kraken and a £160 million billing imbalance put right, and that discipline carries onto Kaluza unchanged: data first, a controlled staged migration, a rehearsed cutover and a reconciliation everyone trusts.

FAQ

Questions we are asked

Kaluza or Kraken?

We are independent of both, so we help you decide on the evidence rather than a sales pitch. They are the two serious real time energy platforms; the right one depends on your data, your operating ambition and your delivery capacity. See our comparison.

Are you a Kaluza partner?

No, and that is the point. We work for you, not the platform, which is exactly what you want from the adviser holding the migration to account.

Are you tied to any platform vendor?

No. We are completely independent, with no reseller agreements and no commissions. Our only interest is the platform that fits you and a migration that lands cleanly.

Can you recover a migration that is already in trouble?

Yes. We come in to assure, stabilise or recover a programme already under way, reasserting client side control and a safe path to go live.

Who actually does the work?

Senior people who have led and recovered platform migrations at national scale, backed by a bench of specialists.
