How we run an engagement: seniority without the overhead, honesty over optimism, and a deliberate transfer of capability so you can sustain the change.
Most consultancies describe themselves in similar terms, so rather than adjectives, here is how we actually work and what it means for you in practice. If it matches what you want from a firm, we will get on well.
Before an engagement begins we agree what success looks like and how it will be measured. Not a vague sense of progress, but concrete outcomes you can hold us to. This keeps everyone honest, ours as much as yours.
Our engagements have a defined objective and they end when it is met. We have no incentive to make a problem look larger than it is or to manufacture the next phase. It shapes the advice we give and the size of the team we propose.
We take no software licence commissions and have no referral arrangements with systems integrators or vendors. When we recommend a platform or a course of action, that recommendation is the whole of our interest.
The consultants who scope an engagement are the consultants who do it. You are not sold experienced people and delivered junior ones. Our model depends on senior practitioners being hands on.
Knowledge transfer is a deliverable, not a courtesy at the end. The point is to leave your team able to run what we built and to handle the next challenge without us. A good engagement makes us less necessary over time, not more.
The same disciplined path on every engagement, from the first business case to a business that has adopted the change and can run it without us.
In practice, engagements with us tend to be tightly scoped, outcome defined, senior led and time bound. We would rather do a well defined piece of work brilliantly and leave than embed indefinitely. If you want a partner to hand a problem to permanently, we are probably not the right firm, and we will say so.
From day one we plan to leave you stronger than we found you. Tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will tell you honestly how we would approach it.
