Pricing guide
SAP Business One is SAP’s ERP for small and midsized businesses, sold and implemented through partners. Prices vary by partner, but published framework prices give a useful benchmark. This guide sets out the licence options, implementation bands and running costs.

You can subscribe to SAP Business One, or buy perpetual licences and pay annual maintenance. There are two main user types: Professional users, who can use the full system, and Limited users, who are restricted to one area such as financials, logistics or CRM.
Prices published by an SAP partner on the UK government’s G Cloud framework give a benchmark, excluding VAT:
| User type | Subscription | Perpetual licence | Annual maintenance on perpetual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | £1,291.70 per user per year | £2,671.45 per user | £534.30 per user per year |
| Limited | £662.40 per user per year | £1,384.60 per user | £276.95 per user per year |
Partners set their own prices, so treat these as a reference point rather than a quote. Hosting is extra unless it is included in a cloud subscription.
| Scope | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Small business, standard processes, few integrations | £30,000 to £45,000 |
| Growing business with stock, production or several integrations | £50,000 to £90,000 |
| Multi company or complex operations | £100,000 to £150,000 |
The drivers are the number of companies, the depth of stock and production processes, data migration, partner add ons, integrations and report build.
Ten Professional users and five Limited users on subscription would cost roughly £16,229 a year at the benchmark prices above. With a mid range implementation of £50,000 to £90,000, the first year comes to roughly £66,000 to £106,000 before hosting and support.
It suits small and midsized product businesses, particularly in distribution and light manufacturing, that want an established ERP with a large partner network. Larger or fast growing groups should also compare GROW with SAP, SAP’s cloud ERP package for midsized companies, alongside Business Central, NetSuite and Acumatica.

Often three to six months for a small or medium business with standard processes, and longer for multi company or complex operations.
It can be. Partners offer it as a hosted cloud subscription, or you can run it on your own servers.
