Dynamics 365 Business Central

Independent Business Central consultancy for UK businesses

Choose the right Business Central partner, scope the implementation properly and get a system your finance and operations teams actually use. We are not a Microsoft partner and sell no licences, so our advice is about fit, not margin.

The problem

Business Central is easy to buy and easy to get wrong

Business Central is sold through hundreds of Microsoft partners, and most buyers choose one on the strength of a demo and a day rate. The scope is agreed in a few workshops, extensions are added to make the system look like the old one, data migration is left until late, and go live arrives with finance still running month end in spreadsheets.

None of that is a software problem. It is a buying and delivery problem, and it is far cheaper to prevent than to fix.

What we do

Three ways we help

Select the partner and the scope

Requirements written from your processes, a shortlist of Business Central partners and credible alternatives, scripted demonstrations on your data, and a commercial review of the proposal before you sign.

Assure or lead the implementation

Independent assurance or client side leadership through design, data migration, testing and cutover, so the partner delivers what was sold and your team is ready for day one.

Move from NAV or Sage

Moves from Dynamics NAV, Sage 50, Sage 200 and older systems planned as reimplementations, with data, extensions and integrations assessed before the plan is fixed.

How we engage

Part A assurance, Part B full implementation

Part A is independent assurance: we review the partner's proposal, plan and progress and tell you plainly what is at risk and what to do about it. Part B is full implementation: we lead the programme from your side and take responsibility for getting the system live, working with your chosen partner on the build.

Take either part on its own or both together. Scope, people and price are agreed up front, on a fixed price or a day rate.

Business Central at a glance

What it costs and who it suits

Business Central Essentials is £61.50 per user per month and Premium £84.60, with Team Members at £6.20 for lighter users. Implementation cost depends mostly on scope, data and integrations rather than the licence; our Business Central pricing guide sets out the detail.

It suits mid market businesses in distribution, services, light manufacturing and project work, particularly those already on Microsoft 365. Larger or more complex operations should also look at Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

Common questions

Business Central consultancy, answered

Do we still need a Business Central partner?

Usually yes, for licences, configuration and extensions. We work on your side alongside the partner, or help you choose one if you have not yet.

How much does Business Central cost?

Licences are £61.50 per user per month for Essentials and £84.60 for Premium, with Team Members at £6.20. Implementation cost depends on scope, data and integrations.

Can you help us move from Dynamics NAV?

Yes. We assess your data, customisations and integrations, decide whether to upgrade or reimplement, and plan the move so it does not collide with year end.

How long does a Business Central implementation take?

Often three to six months for a single company with standard processes, and longer for multi company, manufacturing or heavily integrated scopes.

What do you charge?

A fixed price or day rate agreed up front, after a short conversation about scope. See how we work and what it costs.
